That's a Wrap!

Here are the final stats for the 2013-2014 school year.

We ended the school year with 7 schools and roughly 100 kids in the program. 

We passed out over 4000 bags. This included bags during school and breaks. This also means we passed out over 36,000 snacks. Whew!

Thanks to everyone who donated and volunteered to fill bags! We could not do it without your help!!!

We Are Celebrating!!!

We are officially a 501(c)(3)!!!!

After months of waiting - very patiently!- we received our letter from the IRS over the weekend that we are officially a 501(c)(3) public nonprofit organization. Up until now we have only been accepting snack donations but will now accept financial donations as well.

Summer Snack Attack is a GO!

School may be out but hunger is not!  Our students rely on help with meals from schools so once school ends the summer time can be tough.  

So excited to once again be able to do Summer Snack Attack. With this program we can continue to provide snack bags to those students already in the program.

Thank you GS Troop 41648! Not only did you bring donations but you helped pack bags!! You girls did a great job packing and with your help we have enough bags to finish the school year.

GS Troop 180

What a pleasure to meet these young ladies from GS Troop 180. Thank you for the donations and for packing snack bags. I wish I had a badge to give you! Its so wonderful seeing kids helping out other kids. They really get it!

Cru @ Riverside Jr High

Last week I had the pleasure of meeting the students in Cru at Riverside Jr. High. What a great group of kids!!! Not only did that donate a Ton!! of snacks but they also rocked through packing about 300 bags.

Riverside Intermediate Rocks!

We are thrilled at all the donations from the students, families and staff of Riverside Intermediate! Literally we have received 4 car loads of food. Definitely our largest donation to date! Huge thanks to everyone!

Fabulous Ladies of Fishers Tri Kappa

The fabulous ladies of Fishers Tri Kappa held a food drive and volunteered their time to pack bags. They supplied over 2000 snacks and packed over 300 snack bags. 

These ladies were a God send because their donations came right before spring break. Spring break is a joyous time for most of us, but for those students who rely on school lunches/ breakfast spring break can be very long. Indy Snack Attack addresses their needs by packing double the amount of snacks whenever the students are on long breaks. 

Our shelves were pretty bare and we did not have to ability to hand out extra snacks. Tri Kappa stepped in and with their donations ISA was able to provide for these kids.
